Caithness has much to see, whether it's the countryside and spectacular coastline leading you round many clifftop views or inlets full of harbours both in use and abandoned. The great part is that most of Caithness is unspoilt. The castles and monument sites are all free and stand often on spectacular coastal sites or near waterways and in the low hills. Caithness is a bird watching paradise with birds of many species on the cliffs and inland on the farming countryside.
